Octubre es el mes de la ciberseguridad ¿sabes por qué?

El mes de octubre es el mes de la ciberseguridad. Hace 14 años EE UU declaró este mes como el National Cyber Security Awareness Month (Mes Nacional de la Concienciación en Seguridad Cibernética). Ocho años después, en 2012, Europa creó el Mes Europeo de la Ciberseguridad, y desde el 2018, Chile se convirtió en el primer país latinoamericano en celebrar el Mes Nacional de la Ciberseguridad.
El concepto de ciberseguridad está relacionado con la protección de los ordenadores, servidores, redes sociales y dispositivos móviles, de ataques cibernéticos.
Hoy en día, pasamos mucho tiempo conectados y estamos cada vez más expuestos a sufrir este tipo de agresiones online. Por ello, el objetivo de esta celebración es promover y dar a conocer la ciberseguridad para que todos los usuarios usen Internet de una forma segura y sepan darle un buen uso a las herramientas digitales.
Desde Inercia Digital queremos unirnos a esta celebración y hacer mención del proyecto Cybe rEu Vet el cual tiene como objetivo fortalecer en los centros de formación profesional de Europa la capacidad de reconocer y manejar las amenazas (fraudes financieros y bancarios, ataques, robos de datos, etc) que se dan en un contexto histórico donde la formación online es cada vez más usada, especialmente después de la pandemia.
Esto se llevará a cabo mediante la formación de profesores de FP en el manejo de amenazas en ciberseguridad, dotándolos con los conocimientos necesarios para transmitir buenas prácticas y habilidades a sus estudiantes e incrementar la concienciación entre profesores de FP, estudiantes y sus familias para que sepan reconocer estas amenazas.
Durante este mes, los socios y socias del proyecto procedentes de Alemania (NGO NEST BERLIN EV), Francia (tandemplus), Irlanda (MEATH PARTNERSHIP), Portugal (COFAC COOPERATIVA DE FORMACAO E ANIMACAO CULTURAL CRL), Latvia (LATVIJAS ASOCIACIJA EIROPAS KOPIENAS
STUDIJAM), España (Inercia Digital y Asociación Educativa en lucha por la igualdad) e Italia (Extrafondente Open Source), llevarán a cabo talleres de concienciación en diferentes centros educativos y se realizará un Game Jam con el objetivo de crear conciencia entre los estudiantes y participantes.

October is the month of cybersecurity. The US declared this month National Cyber Security Awareness Month 14 years ago and eight years later, in 2012 Europe created the European Cybersecurity Month and since 2018, Chile became the first Latin American country to celebrate National Cybersecurity Month.
The concept of cybersecurity is related to the protection of computers, servers, social networks and mobile devices from cyber attacks.
Nowday, we spend a lot of time online and we are increasingly exposed to be victims of these online aggressions. Therefore, the objective of this celebration is to promote and introduce cybersecurity so that all users can use the Internet in a safe way and know how to use digital tools better.
From Inercia Digital we want to join this celebration and make mention of the #cyberEuvet project, which aims to strengthen in the vocational training centers of Europe the ability to recognize and handle threats (financial and banking fraud, attacks, data theft, etc. ) that occur in a historical context where online training is increasingly used, especially after the pandemic.
This will be carried out by training VET teachers in the management of cybersecurity threats, giving them the necessary knowledge to transmit good practices and skills to their students and increasing awareness among VET teachers, students and their families and making them able to recognize these threats.
During this month, the project partners from Germany (NGO NEST BERLIN EV), France (tandemplus), Ireland (MEATH PARTNERSHIP), Portugal (COFAC COOPERATIVA DE FORMACAO E ANIMACAO CULTURAL CRL), Latvia (LATVIJAS ASOCIACIJA EIROPAS KOPIENAS STUDIJAM), Spain (Digital Inertia and Educational Association in the fight for equality) and Italy (Extrafondente Open Source), will carry out awareness workshops in different educational centers and a Game Jam will be held with the aim of creating awareness among students and participants.
