Nace la Coalición Digital Verde Europea e Inercia Digital participa en ella.

Ante la realidad en la que nos encontramos, donde las TICs son la pieza clave de nuestra vida diaria, la Comisión Europea (CE) puso en marcha la “coalición por las capacidades y los empleos digitales”. Dicha iniciativa busca paliar la falta de capacidades en el ámbito digital. La herramienta formará a europeos en habilidades relacionadas con las nuevas tecnologías, desde buscar información y compartir mensajes hasta crear contenidos digitales y aplicaciones de programación.

Bajo esta coalición, nace una nueva iniciativa verde. En el marco del Acuerdo de París, la Unión se comprometió a lograr la neutralidad climática en 2050. Este objetivo sólo puede alcanzarse a través de una transformación integral hacia una economía verde y digital, y la Coalición Digital Verde Europea pretende avanzar de forma decisiva en la transformación impulsada por el mercado de las empresas del continente.

Esta Coalición tiene la misión conjunta de apoyar la transformación verde y digital de la economía tanto dentro como fuera de Europa. Inercia Digital es una de las empresas que forman parte de este programa desde 2021 y que busca hacer más ecológico el sector de las TIC y hacer que el potencial de reducción de emisiones de sus soluciones se aplique a todos los demás sectores.

Las empresas están comprometidas a tomar medidas en las siguientes áreas:

Invertir en el desarrollo y despliegue de tecnologías y servicios digitales más ecológicos que sean más eficientes en cuanto a energía y materiales.
Desarrollar métodos y herramientas para medir el impacto neto de las tecnologías digitales verdes en el medio ambiente y el clima uniendo fuerzas con ONG y organizaciones de expertos relevantes.
Co-crear con representantes de otros sectores recomendaciones y lineamientos para la transformación digital verde de estos sectores que beneficie al medio ambiente, la sociedad y la economía.

Faced with the reality in which we find ourselves, where ICT is at the heart of our daily lives, the European Commission (EC) launched the «coalition for digital skills and jobs». This initiative aims to alleviate the digital skills gap. The tool will train Europeans in skills related to new technologies, from searching for information and sharing messages online to creating digital content and programming applications.

Under this coalition, a new green initiative is born. Under the Paris Agreement, the EU committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2050. This goal can only be achieved through a comprehensive transformation towards a green and digital economy, and the European Green Digital Coalition aims to make decisive progress in the market-driven transformation of the continent’s businesses.

This Coalition has a joint mission to support the green and digital transformation of the economy both inside and outside Europe. Inertia digital is one of the companies that are part of this programme and is involved in greening the ICT sector and making the emission reduction potential of its solutions applicable to all other sectors.

Companies are committed to take action in the following areas:

Invest in the development and deployment of greener digital technologies and services that are more energy and material efficient.
Develop methods and tools to measure the net impact of green digital technologies on the environment and climate by joining forces with relevant NGOs and expert organisations.
Co-create with representatives from other sectors recommendations and guidelines for the green digital transformation of these sectors that benefit the environment, society and the economy.
