Los ciberataques a escuelas y centros educativos se han visto incrementados en gran medida debido a la digitalización acelerada a la que se vieron sometidas a causa de la pandemia. Adaptar las clases al entorno online, y el consiguiente fugaz aprendizaje que debieron asumir los y las profesionales de la educación, además de los recursos escasos con los que cuentan los centros educativos, en comparación con los ciberdelincuentes, han provocado que estos centros no estén preparados para afrontar los nuevos retos y riesgos que se presentan en Internet.
Con el objetivo de familiarizar al profesorado con los desafíos de las interacciones en línea para que puedan enseñar a los/as estudiantes sobre los peligros potenciales que se pueden encontrar en el mundo virtual, en Inercia Digital hemos recibido a 4 profesionales de WASLA desde Alemania, 5 profesores y profesoras de Osnovna škola Davorina Trstenjaka de Croacia, 8 de I.C. Omodeo-Beethoven – Scisciano y 10 del Istituto Istruzione Secondaria Superiore «Enrico Fermi» ambos de Italia, han asistido del 28 de noviembre al 2 de diciembre al curso de formación «Seguridad y protección en Internet para el profesorado».
Durante esta semana, además de disfrutar de diversas actividades centradas en compartir experiencias y aspectos culturales como la asistencia a un espectáculo flamenco o un tradicional desayuno de churros con chocolate caliente, los y las participantes han aprendido a reconocer las señales de advertencia de riesgos y peligros en Internet, a utilizar herramientas que ayudan a prevenir o resolver amenazas comunes a la seguridad informática, a saber proteger la privacidad en Internet y mejorar la seguridad digital, así como a detectar y prevenir casos de ciberacoso, especialmente a través de redes sociales. Es por ello que estos y estas participantes han desarrollado un Plan Estratégico de Ciberseguridad para sus centros individualizado y adaptado a sus objetivos y necesidades organizacionales.

Cybersecurity in the classroom!
Cyberattacks on schools and educational centers have increased to a great extent due to the accelerated digitization to which they were subjected as a result of the pandemic. Adapting classes to the online environment, and the consequent fleeting learning that education professionals had to assume, in addition to the scarce resources that educational centers have, in comparison with cybercriminals, have caused these centers to be unprepared to face the new challenges and risks that arise on the Internet.
With the aim of familiarizing teachers with the challenges of online interactions so that they can teach students about the potential dangers that can be found in the virtual world, at Inercia Digital we have received 4 WASLA professionals from Germany, 5 teachers from Osnovna škola Davorina Trstenjaka from Croatia, 8 from I.C. Omodeo-Beethoven – Scisciano and 10 from the Istituto Istruzione Secondaria Superiore «Enrico Fermi», both from Italy, attended the training course «Internet Security and Protection for Teachers» from November 28 to December 2.
During this week, in addition to enjoying various activities focused on sharing experiences and cultural aspects such as attending a flamenco show or a traditional breakfast of churros with hot chocolate, the participants have learned to recognize the warning signs of risks and dangers on the Internet, to use tools that help prevent or solve common threats to computer security, namely to protect privacy on the Internet and improve digital security, as well as to detect and prevent cases of cyberbullying, especially through social networks. That is why these participants have developed a Strategic Cybersecurity Plan for their individualized centers and adapted to their objectives and organizational needs.
