Damos comienzo a nuevo proyecto Erasmus+ de agricultura de precisión (PreAgri) con 1ra reunión virtual / Inercia Digital attends the kick-off off a new Erasmus+ Project in Precision Agriculture

Inercia Digital kicks off a new Erasmus+ Project in Precision Agriculture

Inercia Digital attended the kick-off meeting of new innovative Erasmus+ project PreAgri “New Skills Development in Precision Agriculture” which was held from 23-25th November last year, and during which the objectives of this project in the field of agriculture were illustrated and discussed, as well as the guidelines to follow to ensure success in all its facets and stages.

The PreAgri project whose acronym stands for «New Skills Development in Precision Agriculture», is coordinated by Greek organisation FARMACON and has the following organizations from 4 European countries as project partners: Cz & K Consulting from Hungary, ACADEMIA from Slovenia, ACT Grupa from Croatia and Inercia Digital from Spain.

With the technological advances that we are experiencing in current times, the arrival of the 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0), the advances of Big Data, IoT, the dangers of climate change and the challenges that all of this poses for companies, citizens and agriculture in particular, the PreAgri project seeks to bring knowledge in precision agriculture to more European farmers, so that they can benefit from the use of new technologies, break training barriers and face the new challenges of global nutrition while being more sustainable and efficient.

For all the above-mentioned reasons, the PreAgri project seeks to create a new training framework and free curriculum to teach farmers how to make use of new emerging technologies that help achieve a more efficient use of resources and better exploitation of their lands and crops.

In this first meeting, all project partners got to know each other, exchanged experiences and knowledge in the industry, as well as drew up general guidelines to follow for the management and achievement of the expected results, the fluid coordination between partners, the dissemination tasks, smooth communication and cooperation.

Given the restrictions and limitations that the coronavirus pandemic poses for all project partners, the meeting was held online. Regardless of the less-than-ideal situation, all partners were satisfied with the meeting´s outcome, the plan to follow and all parts involved remain fully committed to the carrying out of the next phases of the project, which we will announce soon through this blog.

You can follow the PreAgri project by liking its Facebook page, following its LinkedIn profile and visiting its newly launched website (which will be regularly updated with project milestones).
