Learning to create educational video games in one week is possible in Inercia Digital!/¡Aprender a crear videojuegos educativos en una semana es posible en Inercia Digital!

On the 18th of April, at the Inercia Digital Training and Innovation Centre, the course «Creating Educational Video Games» started, taught by our training team and attended by Lithuanian participants from Telsiu kurciuju ir neprigirdinciuju draugija, which lasted for five days.

The main objective of the course is to help educational staff understand the fundamental ideas of programming, and to develop some basic problem-solving and project design skills. It also teaches teachers how to integrate basic programming tools into their educational process with the idea of increasing students’ versatility in creatively tackling real-life problems.

Scratch was the tool of choice for these education professionals to enter the world of programming. This is undoubtedly a dynamic and fun way of learning, ideal for working with young students!

In addition, during the training, they were shown in a simple way how Micro:bit works, another of the most intuitive and fun online and free tools that exist for learning to program from scratch.

On the day of good practices, the participants visited the SAFA Funcadia School, where they kindly showed us their facilities and daily work with the students. Afterwards, they visited the Museum of Huelva to learn a little more about our culture, and received a visit from Enrique Picón, coordinator at Inercia Digital, in charge of the European project Erasmus+ TSoe, in which the video game TSoe-Spirit of Europe has been developed, with the aim of making the history of Europe known to the youth in an entertaining and dynamic way.

The course ended on 22 April with the awarding of the training certificates after passing the evaluation test. It has been a fantastic week and a lot of fun! It is a real pleasure to have such nice and involved participants, see you soon!

¡Aprender a crear videojuegos educativos en una semana es posible en Inercia Digital!

El pasado 18 de abril comenzó, en el Centro de formación e innovación de Inercia Digital, el curso Creación de Videojuegos Educativos impartido por nuestro equipo de formación, al que acudieron participantes lituanos de Telsiu kurciuju ir neprigirdinciuju draugija, y el cual tuvo una duración de cinco días.

El objetivo principal del curso es ayudar al personal educativo a comprender las ideas fundamentales de la programación, y a desarrollar algunas habilidades básicas de resolución de problemas y diseño de proyectos. También enseña a los profesores a integrar los instrumentos básicos de programación en su proceso educativo con la idea de aumentar la versatilidad de los alumnos a la hora de abordar, de forma creativa, los problemas de la vida real.

Scratch fue la herramienta elegida para que, estos profesionales de la educación, se adentraran en el mundo de la programación. Esta es sin duda, una forma dinámica y divertida de aprender ¡ideal para trabajar con los estudiantes más jóvenes!

Además, durante la formación, se les mostró de forma sencilla el funcionamiento de Micro:bit, otra de las herramientas, online y gratuitas, más intuitivas y divertidas que existen para aprender a programar desde cero.

El día de buenas prácticas, los participantes visitaron el colegio SAFA Funcadia, donde muy amablemente nos mostraron sus instalaciones y trabajo diario con los alumnos. Posteriormente, visitaron el Museo de Huelva para conocer un poco más nuestra cultura, y recibieron la visita de Enrique Picón, coordinador de Inercia Digital, encargado del proyecto europeo Erasmus+ TSoe, en el que se ha desarrollado el videojuego TSoe-Spirit of Europe, con el objetivo de dar a conocer la historia de Europa a los más jóvenes de una forma entretenida y dinámica.

El curso finalizó el día 22 de abril con la entrega de los certificados de formación, tras pasar la prueba de evaluación. ¡Ha sido una semana fantástica y muy divertida! Es un verdadero placer contar con participantes tan simpáticos e implicados, ¡nos vemos pronto!
