MI EXPERIENCIA PERSONAL HACIENDO PRÁCTICAS ONLINE EN INERCIA DIGITAL
Es innegable la relevancia de la tecnología y lo introducida que está en nuestro día a día por lo que no debe resultar extraño que exista la posibilidad de hacer las prácticas curriculares universitarias de forma online. Como estudiante de último año del grado Estudios Ingleses en la Universidad de Sevilla, mi primer contacto con una empresa en el ámbito profesional relacionado con lo me gustaría poder dedicarme en un futuro es un gran paso. A la hora de solicitar trabajar con una empresa tenía claro lo que quería, algo que estuviese relacionado con el mundo de la traducción , que el lugar de trabajo no estuviese muy alejado de donde vivo y por último un horario flexible que se pudiese combinar con mi complicado año de estudios. Cuando vi que había una empresa que ofrecía prácticas online lo tuve muy claro.
Trabajar para Inercia Digital no solo está relacionado con lo que me gusta e interesa sino que me ofrece una comodidad y unas facilidades que ninguna otra de las empresas me ofrecía. Lo primero que pensé fue la comodidad que supone no tener que desplazarte a ningún otro lugar, ya que muchas de mis compañeras de clase tienen muchos problemas debido a que su nuevo lugar de trabajo se encuentra muy alejado de donde viven. Además la flexibilidad de horario, la no necesidad de tener que ceñirse a un horario fijo. Es cierto que no todos los trabajos se pueden hacer de forma online, pero esto supone una forma de trabajo poco convencional que debería tenerse siempre en cuenta. Te ofrece una nueva perspectiva y forma de trabajar, la cual se basa en trabajar y conocer de forma más detallada programas como Google Drive y Google Documentos, la opción de sugerencia, la cual por ejemplo no conocía o en los que puede haber varias personas trabajando a la vez y estas pueden estar en diferentes lugares.
Mi trabajo se basa fundamentalmente en revisar posts en inglés y español del blog de Inercia digital para después publicarlos, todo esto se hace a través de Google Documentos y Google Drive donde la empresa comparte los archivos conmigo y los voy revisando añadiendo posibles sugerencias sobre la expresión escrita.
En mi opinión, creo que sigue existiendo muchos prejuicios relacionados con el hecho de trabajar de forma online, se sigue pensando que esto no es una forma de trabajo ya que se tiene concebido que la única forma válida de trabajo es yendo a una oficina y trabajando de 8 am a 15 pm, evidentemente no hay nada malo en esta forma de trabajo, sin embargo se deberían tener en cuenta otros métodos menos comunes pero igual de aptos y necesarios que el resto.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE DOING AN ONLINE INTERNSHIP AT INERCIA DIGITAL
It is undeniable the relevance of technologies in our daily lives, so it should not be surprising that there could be the chance of doing your internship online. As an English studies’ last year student at the University of Seville, my first contact with a company related to the field of what I would like to do in my future life is a big deal. When it came to choose the company, I had a very clear idea in my mind, I wanted to do something associated with the translation field, the office not really far from where I live and lastly a flexible schedule that it could combine with my complicated year. When I saw that there was a company offering an online internship I had it very clear.
Working for Inercia Digital is not only related to the field I am interested in and I like, but offers me convenience and facilities than any other company could offer me. The first thing that came to my mind was the amenity of not having to go anywhere to work, since some of my colleagues had some trouble due to their work office was far from where they live. Moreover, the timetable flexibility, no necessity of having to adhere to a fixed schedule. It is true that not all jobs can be done online, but this offers a different way of working and it should be always taken into account. It provides a new perspective and a way of managing which is based on working and learning in a more detailed way programmes such as Google Drive and Google documents, the option suggestion for example, something which I did not know or where some people can be working at the same time while they are in different places.
My work is basically based on revising future posts in Spanish and English for the Inercia Digital blog and after that they are published on the blog, all of this through Google Documents and Google Drive, where the company shares the files with me and I revise each of them, one by one adding possible suggestions about the written expression.
In my opinion, I do think there are still some prejudices related to the idea of working online, many people still believe that this is not a real way of working because we have assumed that the only possible way of working is going to an office from 8am till 15pm, obviously there is nothing wrong with this way of working however these other possible ways of working should be taken into consideration because they are as valid and necessary as the rest.
