Primer encuentro transnacional del proyecto Erasmus+ KA2 “3D Printing in VET” en Rétino // Erasmus+ project 3D Printing in VET kicks off in Rethymno

“3D Printing in VET”, a new Erasmus+ European project kicks off in Rethymno, Greece

The first transnational meeting of “3D printing in VET”, a European Erasmus+ project was celebrated in Rethymno, Greece from 11th to 12th November 2019, hosted by coordinating partners Kekaper Region of Crete and Eeli.

Leading this first encounter among project partners were the coordinators from Kekaper Region of Crete and Eeli who laid the groundwork and informed everyone about the project’s different steps, the partners’ assigned tasks and deadlines. From Inercia Digital, we joined the other partners in taking turns to introduce ourselves to the rest of the team and give everyone an overview of our main project tasks, such as designing the project logo, creating its official website and social media pages on Facebook, Instagram y Twitter. Representing Inercia Digital as project coordinator, Susana Corona presented the ICT Tools and Applications to be used throughout the project.

It seeks to promote the integration of 3D printing in school through its inception in core subjects like maths, science or history at secondary education level and also at VET level, for high schools and training centres.

The project’s partnership is made up by the following organisations: Inercia Digital (Spain), CEIPES (Italy), WSEI Lublin (Poland), KIT (Germany) ETIC (Portugal), EELI (Greece).

We’ll all meet again in Lublin, Poland for the next transnational meeting, which will take place from 21st to 22nd May 2020. During our next encounter, after evaluating the results of the national research carried out in each country about the application of 3D Printing as a teaching tool in schools and training centres, we’ll explore the contents of the training course we’d already have begun to create by this point. Said course will be aimed at teachers and trainers and will be available for free through an online e-learning platform. But more on this soon, check back this space to follow up on the project’s progress in a few months’ time. We’ll keep you updated!
