Día de las Microempresas y las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas // Microenterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises Day.

Microenterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises Day.

As a way of recognizing their work and thanking them for their contribution to sustainable development and the economy, every June 27th World Day of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is celebrated. Day promoted by the United Nations Organization since 2017 in order to support the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

SMEs are characterized by having fewer than 250 employees, and are the main driving force that drive most of the world’s economies. Their importance is crucial because, in addition to representing more than 90% of all companies worldwide, they have a moderate turnover and generate between 60 and 70% of employment.

It is a period of recovery and hope for these types of enterprises which have been forced to quickly reinvent themselves due to the crisis caused by coronavirus. For this reason, from Inercia Digital we are working on the Digitour Project. This project aims to contribute to the development of skills for digital transformation in the tourism sector and to improve the digital marketing abilities of SMEs. With the development of this project, SMEs will be trained in digital marketing skills specific to the tourism and hospitality sector that will help them to improve the position of their companies.
