To promote remote work, Inercia Digital held the Free Webinar Collaborative Tools for Teamwork, to deal with the Coronavirus confinement.

On April 8 and 14, Inercia Digital, due to its large experience as a training centre in Digital Skills, and as a Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition of the European Commission member, since 2017; altruistically taught a short training related to collaborative tools for teamwork in virtual environments. The reason for organizing this activity, framed in this theme, and no other, was the result and consequence of the current health crisis that is devastating the majority of the territory at an international level.

Thus, the proposal was to bring participants, in a very practical and concise way, the methodological possibilities and free resources at their disposal, for the creation, and efficient and collaborative management, of online workspaces, through the use of tools such as Slack, Trello, Google Suite or H5P, which usually work both in the daily professional activity of Inercia Digital workers, who have been carrying out their actions under the remote working modality for more than ten years; and in the different courses that we have in our Digital and Entrepreneurial School programs.

In Spain, homeworking still has a certain stigma, due to ignorance of the real possibilities that organizational or business activity entails under this modality. In 2018, according to Statista, only 4.3% of the workers claimed to carry out their labour tasks regularly from home; and last year, according to an Adecco’ study, this percentage amounted to 7.9%. Both percentages represent a decompensation in relation to the global context, in which, certainly, this figure rises considerably, although they refer to a rising reality in the spanish context. According to a study by Own Labs (2019), the trend is to maintain a physical work space, such as workshops and offices, but also 56% of global companies already allow their employees to work remotely

In this context, and due to the emergence of COVID-19, it is essential to equip professionals from various fields with tools that allow them to adapt their usual performance methodology, to solve, as far as possible, the difficulties that entails being enable to carry out their activities in the way that they used to do.

After witnessing how to build a collaborative work space, with which to establish new possibilities for professional development, the participants showed a very high level of satisfaction with the training received, both due to the methodology used, the meeting expectations for learning outcomes, and the professional organizing team. Likewise, many of them have been able to accredit this training, which we hope can be of great help to them during these times, which seem difficult in many respects. For all this, we have decided to organize a new session of this webinar, in order to reach all those interested people, who need it, or who simply want to know more about how to manage online workspaces and collaborative virtual environments.

If you are interested in joining and participating in this Webinar, please fill out this short form, and we will send you all the instructions to access the meeting, as well as the date and time of the performance, still to be agreed.

For more information, or if you have any questions or suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact our team at training@inerciadigital.com, we will be glad to help you as far we can!

Without further ado, we wish you a lot of health and well-being, to cope as best as possible with this situation that affects us all.
