Inercia Digital imparte con éxito el curso de formación “Teaching Social Media: Safety and Security on the Internet” en Huelva.

La semana del 3 al 9 de junio tuvo lugar el curso de formación Teaching Social Media: Safe and Security on Internet en la sede de Inercia Digital en el Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Huelva, al cual asistieron una vez más profesoras de Rannu Kool de Estonia. El curso se enfocó en dar a conocer los diferentes riesgos que se encuentran tanto en internet como en las redes sociales y cómo saber detectarlos y evitarlos.

Durante el curso, las profesoras participantes en el curso aprendieron las diferencias entre una página web segura y una que no lo era, a través de una serie de herramientas online que les ayudaron en esta detección. También aprendieron a diferenciar los conceptos de ciberacoso, sexting, grooming, etc. además de cómo aprender a detectarlos entre el alumnado y cómo ayudar a que estos casos no se dieran mediante la prevención con la ayuda de padres. A esto se le añadió el aprendizaje de nuevas redes sociales populares entre niños y adolescentes y los usos que tenían, aparte de cómo aprender a configurar su privacidad para que pudieran disfrutarla de una manera más segura. 

El día de buenas prácticas, visitaron el instituto SAFA Funcadia donde se les explicó el sistema educativo español, cómo estaba organizado y se les enseñó la plataforma Moodle. También visitaron la Asociación MediaSafe, donde adquirieron más conocimientos sobre cómo estar bien protegidos en Internet.

Al finalizar y tras aprobar un examen con éxito garantizando que habían adquirido los conocimientos necesarios para la superación del curso, todas las participantes obtuvieron el certificado de formación que pudieron llevarse de vuelta a Estonia.

A successful end to Inercia Digital´s “Teaching Social Media: Safe and Security on Internet” course in Huelva.

From 3rd to 9thJune Inercia Digital´s training course “Teaching Social Media: Safety and Security on the Internet” was taught to a group of teachers from Rannu Kool, Estonia in the company’s headquarters at Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Huelva,. The training course was focused on helping students become aware of the different risks that you can find on the Internet and social networks,  how to detect and avoid them.

 During the course, the teachers learnt about the differences between a safe website and a non-safe one, and they were given online tools to help them in this endeavour. They also learnt the differences between the concepts of cyberbullying, sexting, grooming, etc. and were shown how to detect them among students and prevent dangerous  situations from arising with the help of parents. Moreover, they were also taught about today’s most trending social networks among youth and their uses as well as how to set their privacy settings for a safer online presence.

On the Best Practices day, they visited the SAFA Funcadia high school, where they were told about the Spanish education system and the Moodle platform. They also visited the MediaSafe Association, where they acquired extra knowledge about Internet safety.

At the end of the training course and after passing the final test with excellent marks, all the participants received their certificates before returning to Estonia.
