Segundo evento de formación del proyecto ABA Our new vision in Special Education. Tuvo lugar en Ankara, Turquía desde el día 26 al 30 de Marzo de 2018 organizado por los socios de Turquía SEADDER – Surekli Egitim, Arastirma ve Danisma Dernegi.
La terapia ABA o Análisis Aplicado de la Conducta es una ciencia destinada al estudio del comportamiento humano. Utiliza procedimientos que han demostrado ser eficaces y que se derivan de investigaciones básicas sobre procesos de aprendizaje para enseñar habilidades relevantes, medibles y observables. puede emplearse no sólo con niños con trastornos del espectro del autismo, sino también es aplicable a niños con diferentes necesidades educativas especiales. Las terapias e intervenciones basadas en ABA son más eficaces si se emplean a temprana edad ya que se fundamenta en la adquisición de habilidades y conductas que facilitan y mejoran su calidad de vida, implementando aprendizajes que mejoren su autonomía personal y social, mejor adaptación al entorno o control de conductas disruptivas.
El proyecto tiene tres objetivos principales: 1. Mejorar las oportunidades de capacitación en ABA en las escuelas; 2. Crear un programa de capacitación ABA y adaptarlo al uso de las TICs; 3. Obtener experiencia práctica en los programas de formación en ABA.
Los integrantes de cada país socio (Lituania, Turquía, Bulgaria, Grecia, Italia y España.) tuvimos la oportunidad de seguir aprendiendo diferentes formas de aplicar la terapia ABA y la manera de abordar la problemática de la educación especial en cada país, por medio de las ponencias de los diferentes terapeutas, coloquios, debates, y visitas a centros educativos especiales, donde se pudo observar in situ cómo se llevaban a cabo las diferentes estrategias educativas y metodologías, entre ellas, ABA, TEACCH o PECS. También tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el ministerio de educación, donde nos recibió el Director General de Educación especial y Servicios de Orientación, el cual nos ilustró sobre las políticas educativas propuestas y llevadas a cabo, así como las profundas reformas en materia de inclusión para con los niños con necesidades educativas especiales durante la etapa escolar.
Agradecer a las entidades y al equipo de “SEADDER” la correcta organización del evento, así como la hospitalidad recibidas, y por supuesto valorar la profesionalidad y calidad humana de cada miembro participante.

The second training event of the project ABA, Our New Vision for Special Education, took place in Ankara, Turkey from 26th to 30th March 2018. It was organized by our partners from Turkey SEADDER Surekli Egitim, Arastirma ve Danisma Dernegi.
Therapy ABA or Applied Behavior Analysis is a science dedicated to the study of human behavior. Using procedures that have been shown to be effective and that are derived from basic research on processes of learning to teach relevant skills, measurable and observable. They can be used not only with children with autism spectrum disorders, but are also applicable to children with special educational needs. Therapies and interventions based on ABA are most effective when used at an early age. This is because they are based on the acquisition of skills and behaviours that facilitate and enhance their quality of life. Implementation of programming will improve their personal and social autonomy, better adaptation to the environment or control of disruptive behavior.
The project has three main objectives: 1. Improve opportunities for training in ABA in the schools; 2. Create a training program ABA and adapt it to the use of ICTS; 3. Gain practical experience in the training programs in ABA.
The members from each partner country (Lithuania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Spain.) had the opportunity to learn more about different ways of applying the ABA therapy and how to address the issue of special education in each country by various means including presentations given by different therapists, seminars, discussions, and visits to special educational centres. At the centres they were able to observe different instructional strategies and methodologies in use, including ABA, TEACCH, or PECS. There was also an opportunity to visit the Ministry of Education, where we were received by the Director General of Special Education and Counseling Services, which we illustrated on educational policies proposed and carried out, as well as the far-reaching reforms in the area of inclusion for children with special educational needs while in school.
It has been an enriching experience, both professional and personal, which has created links between the different partner countries by opening potential avenues of collaboration for future international projects, creating a network of resources in which each component can share information about any related item.
