My experience with Inercia Digital started in September 2017 with the online interview with Veronika Fričová for the position of Intern in the company. During the interview, Veronika explained all the important information about the company and about the responsibilities of this position. Together, we agreed on the starting date of the Internship and the company immediately provided all the important documents and signatures. The assistance with the accommodation was provided as well.
The Internship started on the October 9th in Huelva, Spain. On the first day, I received a document with all the instructions for the Interns. The working hours were from 9am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm, starting on Monday and finishing on Friday. The first part of the working hours was taking place in the CADE building – building of Junta de Andalucía with multiple offices. The second part of the working day was in the form of home office. The majority of the Internship took place in Huelva, but I also got a chance to travel to another cities, since the events and the trainings were being organized in Aljaraque and El Rompido.
At the beginning, it was important for me to read the Erasmus Plus Programme Guide, since the company is working in the area of EU Projects. I had to learn everything about KA1, KA2 and KA3, about Project and Partner countries and other relevant information.
The one long-term task I had was Looking for Partners. Inercia Digital is looking for Partners from other Project and Partner countries for Call in February 2018. The Project will focus only on Schools and Adult Educational Centres and it was important to look for these types of organisations. This part of the job was focusing mostly on the communication with potential international Project Partners/Coordinators. Writing polite replies with all the necessary information is great way to test your English as well.
The other aspect of the Internship was taking part/assisting with the trainings of Inercia Digital in El Rompido. The company is providing professional trainings in the area of Digital skills for staff from other EU countries and neighbor countries. A group of people, usually teachers from Schools are coming to El Rompido for training, which is 7 days long. Every course requires a lot of administration work, which was mostly my responsibility as an Intern.
My biggest responsibility was connected to one KA2 Project, called Entrepreneurship for Youth. This was an International Project in collaboration with 2 more Partners from Romania and Macedonia. The first phase was about giving lectures and Workshops to 20 students from The University of Huelva. For this purpose, I created many teaching materials focusing on the entrepreneurial topics, chosen by the Coordinators from Romania. Next to the written materials and reports, I had to prepare presentations, reading exercises and other activities for students. During the Workshops, me and my colleagues from Inercia Digital had to present the relevant topics to prepare the students for the Workshop in Romania.
In December, our group was travelling to Romania for the second phase of the Project. This part was one week long and we participated in the Project every day. My other responsibility was to solve all the little problems of our students and to communicate with the Coordinators and Inercia Digital. Thanks to this Project, I got a chance to see the city of Brasov and its surroundings, such as the famous Pales Castle. This Project was the most valuable experience from Inercia Digital for me, because it involved a lot of responsibility and I learned a lot.
What I really liked about this Internship is the fact, that it was not repetitive and there were some different tasks almost every day. For example, the online or offline diffusion of one of our Projects, when I got to visit some official places in Huelva, like Town Hall, Universities, Unemployment offices and so on. This was also the perfect opportunity to improve my Spanish. Majority of the tasks were in English, but in some cases, Spanish was very beneficial.
Overall, I am very glad, that I chose Inercia Digital for my Erasmus Internship. Thanks to its location in the beautiful city of Huelva, I got to see the Spanish culture and eat the best Spanish food. I got to meet with the founders of the company, as well as with other talented colleagues. After this experience, I hope, that I will be able to come back to Huelva in the future and possibly back to Inercia Digital.
Mi experiencia con Inercia Digital comenzó en septiembre de 2017, gracias a una entrevista online con Veronika Fričová para la posición de becario en la compañía. Durante la entrevista, Veronika me explicó toda la información que era importante sobre la compañía además de las responsabilidades del puesto y juntos fijamos la fecha de comienzo de las prácticas. La compañía nos facilitó de inmediato los documentos importantes y las firmas necesarias, además de ayuda con el alojamiento.
Las prácticas comenzaron el día 9 de octubre en Huelva (España). El primer día recibí un documento con las instrucciones para los alumnos en prácticas. El horario de trabajo era de 9:00 a 14:00 y de 17:00 a 20:00, de lunes a viernes. La primera parte de la jornada laboral la realizaba en el edificio CADE –con varias oficinas y perteneciente a la Junta de Andalucía– y la segunda desde casa. La mayoría de las prácticas se realizaron en Huelva, aunque también tuve la oportunidad de visitar otros lugares, ya que los eventos y los cursos se organizaban en Aljaraque y en El Rompido.
Al principio leer la Guía del Programa Erasmus Plus fue muy importante, ya que la compañía trabaja con proyectos Erasmus. Tuve que aprender sobre KA1, KA2 y KA3, sobre países del programa y países asociados además de otra información relevante.
La tarea de más duración que tuve fue buscar socios o partners. Inercia Digital está buscando partners de otros países del programa y países asociados para la convocatoria de febrero de 2018. El proyecto se destina únicamente a escuelas y centros de educación para adultos, así pues mi tarea más importante fue buscar este tipo de organizaciones y comunicarme con ellas, buscando posibles partners o coordinadores. Escribir respuestas cordiales con toda la información necesaria es de hecho una gran manera de poner a prueba tu inglés.
La otra parte de las prácticas fue participar/asistir a los cursos de Inercia Digital en El Rompido. La compañía facilita cursos profesionales en el campo de las competencias digitales para personal de otros países de la UE y países vecinos. Un grupo de personas, normalmente profesores de colegios, vienen a El Rompido para formarse durante 7 días. Cada curso requiere mucho trabajo de administración, el cual era mi responsabilidad como alumno en prácticas.
Mi mayor responsabilidad, sin embargo, estuvo relacionada con un proyecto de tipo KA2, llamado Entrepreneurship for Youth (emprendimiento para jóvenes en español). La primera fase de este proyecto internacional, en colaboración con dos socios de Rumanía y Macedonia respectivamente, fue principalmente la de dar clases y talleres a 20 estudiantes de la Universidad de Huelva. Para ello, creé materiales de enseñanza centrándome en temas de emprendimiento, elegidos por los coordinadores de Rumanía. Además del material escrito y los informes, tuve que preparar presentaciones, ejercicios de lectura y otras actividades para los estudiantes. Durante los talleres, yo y mis compañeros de Inercia Digital presentamos los temas más relevantes con el fin de preparar a los estudiantes para el curso en Rumanía.
En diciembre todo nuestro grupo viajó a Rumanía para la segunda fase del proyecto, la cual duró una semana y durante la cual tuvimos talleres cada día. Otra de mis responsabilidades fue la de solventar los pequeños problemas de nuestros estudiantes y la de comunicarme con los coordinadores de allí y con Inercia Digital. Gracias a este proyecto tuve la oportunidad de ver la ciudad de Brasov y sus alrededores, como el famoso Palacio de Pales. Este proyecto fue la experiencia más valiosa de Inercia Digital para mí, ya que entrañaba muchas responsabilidades y aprendí mucho.
Lo que realmente me ha gustado de estas prácticas es el hecho de que no era todo repetitivo, y casi todos los días había tareas diferentes. Por ejemplo, la difusión online y en persona de uno de nuestros proyectos así como cuando pude visitar algunos sitios oficiales en Huelva como el ayuntamiento, la oficina de desempleo y otros, lo cual fue la oportunidad perfecta para mejorar mi español. La mayoría de de las tareas eran en inglés, pero en algunos casos saber español era una ventaja.
En resumen, estoy muy contento de haber elegido Inercia Digital para mis prácticas Erasmus. Gracias a su localización en la preciosa ciudad de Huelva he podido conocer la cultura española y probar su mejor comida. Pude conocer a los fundadores de la compañía así como a otros compañeros con mucho talento. Después de esta experiencia, espero poder volver a Huelva en un futuro y posiblemente también a Inercia Digital.
