Las ventajas de las aulas TIC
El uso de las TIC en clases es una realidad hoy en día, pero ¿somos conscientes de la importancia de su uso o de las consecuencias que pueden tener? Es fácil decir que los centros usan las TIC para que los estudiantes aprendan, pero deben saber cómo usarlas correctamente para beneficiarse de sus ventajas. ¿Cuáles son estas ventajas?
La primera ventaja que podríamos mencionar es la motivación, ya que el estudiante podría aprender a través de nuevas herramientas digitales en lugar de a través de un libro de texto. Esto podría lograr que el proceso de aprendizaje fuera más divertido, y también podría encajar con la siguiente ventaja que sería hacer que el alumnado muestre interés por lo que aprende.
Si la base es la motivación, hacer que los alumnos muestren interés es el pilar principal. Los profesores pueden hacer uso de vídeos, ejercicios interactivos, audios que podrían encontrar en diferentes webs especializadas para el aprendizaje de ciertas asignaturas. Esto no sólo logrará hacer más amenas las clases, sino que permitirá a los estudiantes aprender a través diferentes métodos sin siquiera darse cuenta de que están aprendiendo.
Otras ventajas son la interactividad y la cooperación, ya que los estudiantes pueden interactuar y compartir sus conocimientos con otros estudiantes del mismo centro o de otros centros diferentes. También se podría decir que el uso de las TIC en el aula contribuye al desarrollo de la creatividad de los estudiantes, al igual que a la comunicación entre estudiantes y profesorado vía correo electrónico.
Sin embargo, se puede decir que una de los más importantes es la alfabetización digital de los estudiantes, que ayudaría a los estudiantes a comprender y conocer las herramientas digitales que los alumnos usan en clase de cara al futuro.
El uso de TIC en los centros escolares se ven fomentado por el proyecto DISCO en Europa, que consiste en formar al personal docente en el ámbito del uso de herramientas digitales y buenas prácticas para que así saquen más provecho a las herramientas TIC.
The advantages of the ICT classrooms
The use of ICT in the classroom is a reality nowadays, but are we aware of the importance of its use and the consequences that might have? It is easy to say that a scholar centres use ICT for their students to learn, yet they have to know how to use them correctly for taking advantages of their benefits. Which are those advantages?
The first one we could mention is motivation because the student could learn through new digital tools instead of from a text book. This could also make funnier the process of learning for the students and could fix with the next advantage that it is becoming interested in what they are learning.
If the base is motivation, make the students become interested is the main pillar. The teachers could use videos, interactive exercises, audios that could be found in different specialised webs for learning a subject. Not only could this make more enjoyable the classes, but it could also allow the students to learn through different methods without realising they are learning.
Other advantages are interactivity and cooperation since the students can interact and share their knowledge with other students of the same or other centres. We can also say that the use of ICT in classroom contributes to the development of the creativity of the students, as well as the communication between students and teachers via e-mail.
However, we could say that one of the most important is the digital literacy of the students, that it would help them to know and understand the digital tools they use in the classroom for their future.
The DISCO project promote the use of ICT in the schools of Europe. One of the aims of this project is to train the educational staff in the use of digital tools and good practices so they can benefit from the ICT tools.
