E-EMPORIO.

– contribuir al aumento de la competitividad de las pymes a nivel internacional mediante el uso de tecnologías innovadoras paraformar al personal en comercio exterior con potencial europeo;

– aumentar las capacidades en comercio exterior del personal en pymes;

– contribuir al desarrollo de contenido digital, factor fundamental en la sociedad del conocimiento;

– reducir la brecha formativa encuanto a exportación;

– impulsar el diálogo entre los formadores de los países socios;

– desarrollar contenidos de formación online basados en la competencia y orientados a la práctica y a los resultados, sobre todo para aumentar las habilidades en exportación del personal en pymes según las necesidades de cada país socio;

– transferir estos cursos de formación online aaplicaciones de telefonía móvil;

– otorgar certificados por las habilidades que se van a obtener mediante la plataforma de enseñanza virtual;

– transferir las buenas prácticas y la experiencia entre los socios;

E-EMPORIOIncrease SMEs export skills through e-learning

What is E-emporio…

The SMEs in Europe constitute the core of the European economy but only a few of them have exporting activity. The increase of the exporting activity of the SMEs has been considered as one of the main ways for Europe in order to get out of the financial crisis.

The E-EMPORIO project aims to contribute to the development of the export skills of the staff that is working in SMEs by providing them with     complete, qualitative, results-oriented and practice-oriented e-learning contents that will be accessible through internet from any place at any time and would be adapted to the specificities of each country.

Some of the e-learning     contents and training methodology will be transferred by a previous Leonardo project called «text-e». The main   target group is the staff that is working in SMEs but also   another target group is     unemployed people who are willing to develop their skills in order to find an employment or open an SME.

The general objectives of the project are:

– to contribute to an increase in SMEs competitiveness in the international scene through use of innovative technologies such as e-learning to train SMEs staff in foreign trading with a European prospective

– to increase foreign trade capacities of SMEs staff

– to contribute to the development of digital contents which are fundamental element of the knowledge society

– to minimize identified    training gaps in exportation across partner countries

– to generate dialogue among the trainers from partner  countries,

– to promote the accreditation of skills acquired through non formal and informal learning

The specific objectives of the project include:

– to develop practice-oriented, results-oriented and competence based e-learning contents especially developed in order to increase the skills of SMEs staff in exports taking into consideration the specificities of each partner country;

– to transfer these e-learning courses also to mobile phone applications;

– to provide certification for the skills and competencies that are going to be obtained through the e-learning      platform;

– to transfer best practices and expertise between the partners;

– to consider the needs of specific target groups such as older workers (or unemployed) wishing to update their skills;

What is done so far …

So far in the project we have conducted two translational meeting, one in Bucharest – Romania (11-12/11/2014) and one in Ankara – Turkey (12-13/05/2014, with   participation of the project partners.

The main work done so far is related to the research.  Firstly all the participating countries conducted a desk research regarding the situation in their countries about the issues that has to do with our project. Such issues are statistics about exporting and SME’s in each country, supporting         organizations, employees and organizations needed skills and shortages, as well as training issues.

The second step of the research was the Field research. More than 70 participants and 3 experts from each participating country took part to the survey conducted. All the participants responded to questions regarding       exporting training issues and their knowledge and opinion regarding ICT skills.

From the research conducted in the 6 participating, there was created a report with all the desk and field researches. From this report it was identified the needs in each country for exporting     training. These needs will be fulfilled by the materials that will be developed by all the partners.

What is next…

From the results taken from the research conducted in all 6 countries, there are some materials that will be developed and customized.

The Turkish partner will create these materials and all the partners will customize them to the needs of their country by adding or modifying them.

On the same time, the electronic platform of the   project will be developed. This platform will be the place where all the materials in all the languages will be. Moreover, it will be the mean that will be used by the future student in order to get trained in export related issues, and also to be assed.

This platform will give the opportunity to the participants to get in touch with a lot of interesting materials, assess the knowledge they gained, but also to communicate with other participants from all the other participating countries and network with them.

At a later stage of the project, and after the   completion of the materials and the electronic platform, there will be the testing and the finalization of the materials. Each participating country is responsible to recruit a number of volunteers to take this courses, test them and assess them, in order to fine-tune and finalize the   produced materials.
